Project Impact is currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 year. To complete the application process, download the application form below, print and fill it out, then scan the completed form. Email the scanned document with a headshot of the student to [email protected] by August 24, 2024. Alternatively, you may mail the completed application and headshot to P.O. Box 10085, Augusta, GA 30901.

Project IMPACT is a Life Skills and Leadership Development program targeted to high school males in the Augusta area. The mission of Project IMPACT is to “Identify and develop leadership potential and enhance a set of life skills, abilities, behaviors, attitudes, and knowledge that will increase participant’s well-being and help them develop into active, productive and informed members of the community.” We start with a big vision of outcomes for our students, that is, we want to produce engaged, socially conscious leaders. We recognize that meaningful mentorship relationships are a pathway to that end, so our approach is to work towards that goal. With many youth having limited access to positive male role models, we offer Project IMPACT as a solution by offering inspiring interaction with men from varied backgrounds with different life stories who give youth hope for their own future. Research has also shown that when youth have developed a healthy ethnic identity, they are more likely to achieve positive academic, psychological, and social outcomes so we have designed our program with that in mind. We have chosen “group mentoring” structures where adult men work with groups of young men and we envision building successful lifelong relationships.
